Covid Closure Contingency Plan / Plan de contingencia de cierre de COVID

There are growing concerns in regard to the spread of the omicron COVID variant. At this time, recommended safety protocols are in place and school is in session as usual. As a precaution, the Mabton School District has developed a contingency plan to prepare for the possibility of a closure. Mantener a nuestros estudiantes en la escuela

Nos encanta que nuestros estudiantes vuelvan a la escuela, todos juntos. Pero estamos observando que los distritos de todo el condado y el estado enfrentan cierres potenciales de aulas y escuelas y cancelaciones de eventos deportivos y actividades extracurriculares. Keeping Students in School

We love having our students back in school, all together. We are watching districts around the county and state face classroom and potential school closures and cancelation of sporting events and extracurricular activities. We have had to do our own contact tracing and have had to notify staff and families about positive cases. We are asking you to partner with us to ensure our students are healthy and our classes can remain together for in-person learning. There are several things you can do to help:

School Facilities Advisory Committee

Are there facilities updates and changes that you would like to see in our schools? If so, you might consider being on the School Facilities Advisory Committee!

Nationwide Social Media School Threat

The Mabton School District is aware of the nationwide threat made on social media towards schools today. These general threats have not been made against any school in Mabton or elsewhere. However, the safety of our students and staff is always our first priority. Annual Testing @ MabtonSD

Check out our newsletter that details what testing Mabton SD students take throughout the year. Included are parent resources explaining what each test is for and how you can best help your kids! There is a translate option on the page for Spanish.

Healthy Youth Survey 2021 Information for Parents & Students

The survey asks questions about risks for injury, health outcomes, and alcohol and drug use. Schools, and state and local agencies use survey results to support our youth and reduce their risks. The Healthy Youth Survey is voluntary and anonymous and provides important information to guide policy and programs that serve our youth. Both English and Spanish information is available here.

District Announcements

At WSSDA’s 2019 Annual Conference, Mabton, Riverside, and Clover Park School Districts have been named Boards of the Year in the categories of small, medium, and large school districts, respectively. Picked from among 34 Boards of Distinction, these boards were particularly successful at showing a correlation between data, board decisions, and positive outcomes for students.
