Invitation to Bid
Mabton School District No. 120

Notice is hereby given that the Mabton School District No. 120 will accept sealed bids on the project known as “Mabton Jr/Sr High School Security and Fire Alarm Update”.

A mandatory site visit is required to bid on this project. The site visit will be held on February 25, 2021, 9AM PST at the Mabton Jr/Sr High School Main Entrance located at 500 B Street, Mabton, WA 98935. Mandatory Covid-19 Screening, provided by the school district, is required before access to the campus will be allowed. Masks are required. The School is currently in session. Respect for the students and social distancing is required.

Bid Award:  Time is of the Essence; Bids must be received by 11:00 AM March 8, 2021. Bids will be opened on March 8, 2021 at 11:30 AM for tabulation in the Administrative Office. Interested persons are entitled to attend the bid opening. The bids will be publicly read aloud and a bid may/will be awarded at the Special Board Meeting at 5:30 p.m. on March 8, 2021.  If approved, the district will notify the successful bidder and enter into contract negotiations on March 9th.  The start date will be negotiated in the contract process.
 
The Mabton School District reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to make an award to other than the low bidder, to make an award to a bidder for only a portion of the goods described in its bid, to reject a bid which is in any way incomplete or irregular, and to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received.
 
Preapproval of Equipment:  If your product line was not mentioned in the specification, please submit your product for review by Mach 3, 2021 at 12 PM.  Please submit to David J. Picatti PE,  [email protected].
 
High School Pull Stations:  Provide only the pull stations required by the code and AHJ.  1 in the office,  Eliminate Pull stations as needed. Replace existing pull stations with SS Blank covers, or approved equivalent.
 
Clarifications:  

The following is the Mabton School District's response to questions by bidders.  We are required to provide the same information to all bidders:

  1. The successful bidder will be responsible for programming the system to deliver a fully operational system. 
  2. If your proposal requires systems to be relocated, please clarify your preferred location in your bid.  
  3. Bidders should provide a monitoring quote for all systems.
  4. It is the intention of the district to end this project with a fully operational and compliant fire and security system.

5. The high school has a POTS line for fire and another for security. The Junior High portables have a POTS line for fire and one for security. The Vocational & Ag Building has one for fire and security together.
 
6. Bidding instructions are in the RFP.
 
7. State in bid whether you are providing a 1 year or a 3 year warranty on new materials.
